Apostle Paul is one of the Bible character which will continue to remain as a challenge to several church leaders and believers in Christ throughout the history of our time. The man, Paul was a native of Tarsus, the capital city of Cilicia under Roman Province in thw south-east of Asia Minor. The name Saul was his hebrew name while Paul was his Latin name given to him right from childhood for use in the gentile world. His father belonged to a sect of jews called “Pharisees” and of the tribe of Benjamin, of pure and unmixed jewish blood – Acts 23:6 ; Phil. 3:5.
